Vocalist/writer Carol Keogh (The Tycho Brahe, The Plague Monkeys) and producer/composer Dunk Murphy (Sunken Foal, Ambulance) have crafted a sweeping album titled "Attenborough" laden with muscular rhythms, complex vocal harmonies, acoustic instruments, delicate vintage curios and gritty electronics.
Recorded in Dublin, Limerick and Wexford.
Unconventional song formations reside in sonic structures that range from hyperspace to the belly of a whale. At times cavernous, at times intestinal, Attenborough looks at our human existence in the animal kingdom, patch-working the organic and the synthetic. Recorded in Dublin, Limerick & Wexford.
"Attenborough" is launched 16th January 2016 with a daytime listening party in Sugar Club, Leeson Street, Dublin 2. The LP will be played to a seated audience through a Function-1 sound system with all lights out for focussed listening. Admission @ €10 will include a CD copy of the album. The Lights-Out listening will be followed by a Q&A hosted by Donal Dineen (with the lights back on!!)
